About Us

We are a group of six Primary Education teachers. We have made this blog in order to introduce ourselves to people, let them see who we are and what are our goals, as well as to know from where we come from. Moreover, we want to let people improve their teaching by changing the "classical" ways of viewing the classes. Thus, now you will find our description and our language portfolio. Also, different resources that we have found that we think are really useful when teaching.

The truth is that this blog hasn't come easily, we have had to work a lot to reach our objective: changing education. Education is an active process, and that requires a lot of hard work to find best attitude, materials and resources in order to get a successful results.

We have been lately working together to find a method that helps children learn, by using motivation, values, friendship, multiple intelligences and cooperative work. When we started working we had a starting point: changing the common way of teaching, which does not involve active participation. But, our main questions were: How do we know what is going to implement the children's learning? How can we make children enjoy their lessons? Is there any kind of method that works with all children while considering their personal abilities?

Considering all this factors, we started investigating AMCO methodology. It has been created few years ago in the USA, and is now used in some schools in our country. Among the blog, you will find the explanation of this new way of teaching, and also you will be able to find some materials and resources, which could be used in different contexts because they are not only for the AMCO method.

But there is something that we can´t deny. Teaching depends on teachers and their ability to adapt themselves to different situations. There is no education without knowledge, but there’s no knowledge without teachers that are ready to transmit it.

The teacher, as a communicator, should be able to transmit different contents, values and feelings. For that reason, we consider the classroom as a machine, where all the small and independent pieces have to be connected in order to success. But as always, some of the pieces won’t fit, and maybe other could break during the process. But this is not a problem, because the mechanic (teacher) has to be ready to repair the pieces, adjusting them to the rest of the parts and trying to make the machine work perfectly. If the mechanic works with love, dedication and effort, the results will appear. But if there is no relationship between the mechanic and the pieces he is working with, the machine won’t work.
